Repeat Prescriptions

Your doctor may agree to let you have a prescription for long-term treatment without need for a consultation every time.  Please use the following methods for ordering.  Use the tear-off slip attached to your prescription or write out your order and:multicolour_pills

  • hand it in at the surgery or chemist;
  • securely on-line via the link at the top of this page.
  • post the request to the surgery;

Please do not telephone to request your medication as there can be confusion with drug names, pronunciation and errors can be made when writing out the request.  Written requests enable records to be matched more accurately and requests can be processed without interruption from further calls.

You can now nominate your preferred chemist or appliance provider (if you use one) to order and receive your medicines for you to collect.  Please ask about Electronic Prescribing (EPS).

Did you know you can order your repeat medication online through this web site.  If you have not already signed up you will need access to a secure website therefore it is important to verify who you are before we issue a password.  Please come to reception with two forms of ID

    Medication Reviews

    Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

    symbol error 3Once we receive your request here, please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed here before they go off to your pharmacist and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.    Please note that Receptionists are not permitted to interrupt consultations.
